"The best creative execution relies on good data. Whether it's design, copy voice, color way, type style or offer expression there should always be reason behind the choice. Simply looking cool isn't enough. "

Decades of multichannel marketing experience, a fresh perspective and phenomenal hair – a few of the many great things that Neal Schuler brings to J.Schmid. Well-known for his executive leadership roles at Harry & David, Colony Brands and Yankee Candle, Neal has a successful history of providing creative direction for web, catalog, wholesale, B2B and retail channels. He’s also been a featured conference speaker, panelist and contributing writer and awards judge for Multichannel Merchant.

With his highly developed business acumen, he challenges our designers and writers here at J.Schmid to connect business objectives with thoughtful and differentiating creative execution. The result? Stronger, more engaging brands for our clients.

And driving brand affinity isn’t his only talent. Neal’s initial creative endeavor was in music – piano, guitar and vocals. He grew up in the San Francisco Bay area and attended countless Grateful Dead concerts as a teenager (no lasting damage that we can tell) and he even had the privilege of playing in Chuck Berry’s band once.

Still a guitar player in his free time, Neal also enjoys skiing, cycling, golfing and surfing. So to answer your question: No, we’re pretty sure there’s nothing this guy can’t do.
